Marie's 40th birthday party!

We finally celebrated my sister Marie's 4oth birthday!! She turned 4o on March 23rd but we didn't get to celebrate until April 15th. It was a great weekend! We had a dinner for her at Whiskenladle in La Jolla and then we stayed the night at the Grande Colonial also in La Jolla. Marie had her friends come down from Newport and they were so much fun. My sister Lisa came in town to host the weekend. She is 24 weeks preg and I am 35...Don't ask me why I did that to myself in the pictures. For family history sake and that's it!
We had a blast being together and celebrating our eldest sister! Big year for Marie and I! Happy Birthday Marie!! I love my sisters!!

Happy Easter! 2011

We had a great Easter. Adelaide doesn't really get it yet but I think she still appreciated all the fun presents from the Easter bunny! I had the most fun with finding her the perfect Easter outfit. I left out the family pictures because I am not big on photos right now....36 weeks pregnant....next year. We had dinner with the Hills and Court our good friends. My favorite meal of the year! I could eat it everyday. Happy Easter!

DIRTY 30

Well I am officially old now! Luke pulled out all the stops to make turning old feel extra special! We started celebrating the night before by going to dinner at Roy's. Gina sent us there, paid for it and watched Adelaide for us. That was awesome! Then on the morning of my birthday Luke surprised me and stayed home for the day and made us a yummy breakfast. For lunch my friend Jennifer offered to watch our girl so we could go out to Jake's. That was also fun!

Around 3 Luke had to leave to pick up Lisa from the airport. (that was suppose to be a surprise but I may have ruined it by looking at Luke's phone one day.....oops!)They were gone for about 4 hours running errands. They finally got here and we were off to dinner. Gina was watching Adelaide for us again. Luke said there was a red tide that he wanted to check out before dinner. We got out of the car at Moonlight beach to check it out. I looked down and saw a big bonfire going on with balloons.....hmmm.........Luke said, "should we join them?" I was in heels expecting to go to a nice dinner, clearly not dressed for the occasion. I first noticed my sister Marie and then I noticed my mother in law. I yelled, "JOY!" I was in shock, that's when I knew there was much more in store! Grandma is in town that means we are not! Yay!

There were so many of our good friends there. The picture above shows everyone. It was so nice of everyone to come out to the beach on a February night! Gina also showed up with miss Adelaide. Luke was cute and had sandwiches, chips, drinks and tons of cupcakes! It was a great time.

The next day we took Lisa to the airport and then headed to Palm Springs for the weekend. It was such a fun relaxing weekend! We went to the spa, hung out at the pool and went to dinner every night. Really we just relaxed and took naps if we wanted to. It was amazing!! We were there for three nights. Adelaide had lots of fun and lots of photo shoots (of course) with grandma Joy!

I had a great birthday! Thanks to Luke for being so thoughtful and planning it all. You are the best babe! I love you!

A great mix!

We took these pictures not too long ago and we were both amazed at how much our little lady looks like her daddy in the second one.
The first one more like me.
Everyone that meets Adelaide always says what a great mix she is of both of us. We can't help but agree!
She is pictured with her Tia Gina b.

Crystal was here....

Crystal and her family came to town a few weeks ago for work. While Sean was at meetings Crystal and I hung out and went to lunch, the park and the beach. It was great having them here! We didn't get a picture of all of us but this is what I got.

Summer 2010

We will start with the most current and go backwards...
We had a great Labor Day weekend. We always love extra time with Daddy! On Sunday night we had a party at Gina's and then we went and spent the night in San Clemente with our friends the Hills. We stayed right on the beach in their beach house. It was great! We played at the beach on Monday and then had dinner on the pier.

Catching up!

Yes.....This will take many posts. I decided to give this blog thing a try (again!). I was thinking that I needed to send my family updated photos of Adelaide. I decided it would be easier here so we'll see how this goes.
Adelaide is almost 15 months. She is so much fun! I wish I could capture every expression/funny face that she makes. Once you pull out the camera it stops...of course.
I just feel like I need to share her and the happiness she brings to us everyday with you all!
